About Markela

I am 38 years old, married and a mother of two lovely girls. For the past ten-and-a-half years, I live in Athens, Greece. Before that, I used to live in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada where I was born. I work for a multi-national company which deals with foreign banking services. My hobbies include reading, listening to music, travelling, and of course, photography. I began taking an interest in photography back in 1989, when my brother bought a Canon and let me use it on my trip to Vancouver. The comments I received from people seeing my photos, made me realize that I should start taking this hobby more seriously. Therefore, I started taking my camera to every trip or social event that I would go to. Today, I have taken it a step further and plan walk-abouts in the city or elsewhere for photo-shoots.

Photography Equipment

I use a Sony DSC-H2 camera. I process my photos using my Picasa3 software.
